Joanne Dziomba founded Adirondack Account Management Services, Inc. in February 2009 and incorporated the business in July 2010. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation, she serves individuals, families, and small businesses throughout the United States.
Joanne earned her Bachelor of Science in International Business from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with concentrations in Accounting & Finance, Geography, and Canadian Studies. She also completed graduate coursework toward an MBA at Liberty University.Since 2005, Joanne has worked extensively with QuickBooks and has maintained QuickBooks ProAdvisor status. While she provides ongoing bookkeeping and payroll support, one of her favorite projects is helping businesses get their accounting systems set up correctly from the beginning. She enjoys configuring QuickBooks, creating efficient workflows, training owners and staff, and then stepping away knowing they have the knowledge and confidence to manage their day-to-day bookkeeping successfully.Joanne prepares income tax returns for individuals, sole proprietors, S corporations, partnerships, and C corporations. She also assists clients with payroll taxes, sales taxes, IRS and state notices, tax return reviews, and tax education.What sets Joanne apart is her ability to take complicated tax and accounting concepts and explain them in plain English. She believes clients should understand what is happening with their finances, not simply receive reports or tax returns. Whether she is reviewing financial statements, explaining an IRS notice, or teaching a new business owner how to use QuickBooks, her goal is always the same: help people feel informed, confident, and in control of their financial future.Over the years, Joanne has also worked with many individuals navigating major life transitions, including separation, divorce, the loss of a spouse, and becoming solely responsible for household finances. She helps clients understand their filing options, review prior-year tax returns, address potential issues, and develop a plan for moving forward with confidence. Her approach is educational, practical, and free of judgment.Joanne maintains an active PTIN, EFIN, and CAF authorization with the Internal Revenue Service and regularly attends continuing education programs, including the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum, to stay current with changes in tax law and industry best practices.At the heart of Joanne’s practice is a simple belief: accounting and taxes do not have to be intimidating.
